Poker: aces up your sleeve

Poker had an outright boom in recent years and has become more and more popular among players and croupiers. A poker table has become an almost indispensable part of any casino event. Casino-plus-Events offers the currently most popular variant “Texas Hold’em”. Other games, such as “Omaha Hold’em” and “Seven Card Stud” are also possible.

Poker in its current form became popular in Europe in the last 10 years, even as a kind of national sport. At this point however, poker already had a very long history. The roots of poker date back to the French game “Poque” and the German “Pochen” (to knock). European emigrants brought the game to America, were its triumph started.

The basic concept of poker, which is applied in almost all variations, is simple:

Players bet a certain amount (“Chips”) on the winning chance of their own hand, albeit without knowing the hands of their opponents. The bets placed are collected by the croupier and form the so-called “pot”. This pot is won either by the player with the winning hand or by the last remaining player in the game, in case all others dropped out. In this way one can also win with a smart bluff and a “poker face”, even if one was dealt a poor hand. This in part makes the game so appealing and exciting.

Space requirement and number of guest

Just like our other tables, our poker tables are original casino tables with dimensions of about 1.4 x 2.5 m (4’’6 x 8’’2 ft), providing room for 10 players.

The required space is at least 12 m2 (40 sq ft).
